Remote education

In the event of a school closure affecting a large number of pupils (for example, due to extreme weather or a public health incident), St Peter’s Primary School will move to remote education using Google Classroom. Teachers will upload lessons and set tasks that match the school curriculum as closely as possible. Children will be expected to complete and submit their work online, and teachers will provide feedback and support.

We are committed to ensuring that all pupils can access learning from home. If your child does not have access to a suitable electronic device, we will provide one to support their remote learning.

If an individual child is unable to attend school (e.g. due to illness or medical advice to isolate), we will offer a tailored approach depending on the child’s age, needs, and circumstances. This may include access to online resources, paper packs, or regular contact with staff, as appropriate.

If you have any questions about remote learning, or need support with technology, please contact the school office.
